Hi guys,

I was just curious as to what exactly was the difference between the Seiko LCD 0439-5007 and the 0439-5009?  They both appear look exactly the same, both have the same text on the dial and case back, both have the same bracelet, both have the same buttons and operation.  From what I have read online, they were both produced within the same years.

I have owned both, and currently own a 5009, but I just can’t seem to find any information on what exactly the difference is between the two?

Any info would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

sometimes the numbers mean nothing more than the continent they were produced for. Check out the M354s s a good example from a similar year

Thanks for the reply.  So the 5007 could have been intended for export to Europe, and the 5009 for say America, although they are the exact same watch?

That’s interesting, I wonder if there is any way of finding out which was made for where?

Thanks for the info
