When looking back on the sheer number of watch models CASIO produced in the 1980’s, it is clear that not every one of them made it into their annual catalogs. Honestly, I’d expect the higher end models to always be included. But were they?
I’ve long been a fan of the Casio diver model DW-3000. It has the 548 module, which was used in a number of other CASIO watches in the years that followed from its release (TW-7000, W-760, DW-300, etc). But when exactly did the DW-3000 first appear to the public? I did see in the DWL entry for it that the year is 1981. Where was that information sourced? I have seen a number of different CASIO watch catalogs from the early 1980’s but none of them showed the DW-3000. I’d find it hard to believe it was released for only one year too, but it’s not shown in the 1982 catalog.
So does anyone have a photo of a CASIO catalog featuring the DW-3000? Or at least an article or ad for it that has a date indication somewhere?
Thanks!
