The command buttons at the 2 & 5 o'clock positions are for the chronograph display, the command button at the 3 o'clock position is for the LCD light & the command button at the 9 o'clock position is for the time, date and seconds. The case back is stamped 'Quartz Solid State, R.100.703, 328396' it also has the numbers 1 to 12 stamped around the outer edge of the case back.
