The 9040 is a further simplification of the earlier 9021 Crystron Alarm Calibre. Green tinted front polariser and slim digits. It has no live seconds display (seconds display is accessed with a button press) and no backlight and seems to have been marketed as the low-end watch in the early Crystron LC range. Most (but not all) of the 9040 case designs were plated Base Metal. Note that the pictured (used) back IS correct for this case but comes from another identical but used example. The NOS back to go with this NOS case is safely packed away. Strap correct-period Citizen example but is not original to this watch.
