Hello forum members.

I’m new to the forum.

For several months I have been collecting vintage watches {Seiko and Casio], a very nice hobby, not only to collect, but also learning and understanding of these watches.

Let me get straight start with a question.

A few days ago I bought on ebay a Seiko A914-5A39, what struck me was, not what I first noticed, is that it does not has the (decorative pins) (screws) or whatever you want to call it. RED CIRCLED IN THE PICTURES.

On digital watch.com is the same Seiko A914-5A39, but these watch have the (pins) (screws) on the left!

http://www.digital-watch.com/DWL/1work/seiko-a914-5a39/

Could it be that the watch that I bought, is a late varriant, or a change in the design of the watch in 1984?

Thank you for help!

Pieter

They look like they have been polished off Pieter. Look at the thickness of the steel next to the crystal on the top left much thinner. Maybe someone had an accident and grazed that side of the watch.

It could indeed it has polished, this is well done I must say. I measured the thickness left and right, it is the same everywhere.

I agreed with the seller that I will return the watch to him, here are some pictures that I’ve just made, but tommorow back to the USA!
