Hello Adam and all the members !

New on this forum, I’m french (sorry my english isn’t good…) and I collect digital watches.

In fact, in the early 80’s (or late 70’s) my father had lcd watches (Seiko and Pulsar);
I remember that I loved these watches when I was child ...
Unfortunately he lost the seiko and he replaced the pulsar in the early 90’s ...
A few years later when I had a little money, I wanted to buy a similar watch but it was no longer available!
Only casio offered this style of watch but with resin case, LCD stainless steel cases had disappeared…
so I bought a casio (W-59) that I kept on my wrist more than 10 years.

One day in 2008, I found by chance the Pulsar of my father (but without bracelet), I was very happy !
New battery and bracelet… Ready to go !
Since, I started collecting some lcd seiko watches. Why Seiko ? > I’m a JamesBOND fan…

I generally try to find full working watches (i’m not watchmaker) but i also like to tinker [also macGyver fan 😊 ]

Here is my father’s Pulsar Y756-5009 (bracelet not original) :

thanks for reading 😉

Nice to see you on here Fred. And for showing your fathers pulsar. Do you know the Seiko he had? Maybe some old photos with him wearing it. It ould be good to trace and own that model to.

regards

Unfortunately I can’t remember which model it was :(

I think there was a small “grid” on the top of the case, perhaps A159 or A133 ?

Small grid would mean an alarm obviously. Any ideas on a year? That could break it down a little, also a face plate colour.

You can also add A134, A135, A158, A359 and possibly A167

Can you remember a year, that could cut out a number of models. Say it was before 1979, then only a few. Is there no photograph with your father wearing it?

No idea for the year of the watch ;
I remember it was in the early 90’s , so it can be all the models we spoke about !

I searched, but no photo with this Seiko…
