Hello all,

New member. I thought this was the best way to introduce myself:

I couldn’t find this Casiotron R-16 on this forum and wondered why. Maybe I just haven’t searched thoroughly enough; if that’s the case: I’m sorry.

If someone has more information on this watch, I’d appreciate to hear about it. I don’t have any documents, but I have pictures, and I can take more : ).

If I, as a n00b on this forum and on digital watches in general (except for this watch, which used to be my father’s, and the digital watches I wore in the early eighties…), can contribute in any way, please tell me how I can help.

Thanks.

Really smart looking watch, possibly module 31(check other 31s on the site). I dont have a this one on the site so if you have the time three photos would be appreciated.  I am slowly increasing the amount of Casiotrons on the site as I see them. They are hugely underrated. The build quality of the modules and the cases in not surpassed by anyone, shame Casio let this build quality behind as they soon ruled the technology front. Imaging an AT-552 with a seriously good case.

Thanks for the quick reactions!

Here are some (er… a lot of) pictures I already took over the last week, when opening and cleaning the watch:

Not too many, I hope…

And if you need specific compositions, angles, sizes etcetera for the three pics you want to use for the library: please tell me?I’d be happy to take new ones.

Hm, that was easier said than done. I think I need to do some research on watch photography. And I might need a “light tent”. But since I already put the effort in, I’ll show them anyway. Maybe they’re good enough for now.

This was probably the best one, but I couldn’t get the other two shots in that series right (in getting rid of the background)

Other series:

And using an actual white background might be easier…

Tips are welcome!

Unfortunately, the watch doesn’t work anymore. It didn’t work in the beginning. When I put a piece of paper behind the new battery to “push” it against the contacts, it worked for a couple of weeks, but I can’t get it to work anymore. : (
