Can someone please tell me a little bit about this watch I bought in a junk shop for ?1.50p.

The number on the back is:

H601-5450 AD

I have searched all over the internet and cannot find one like it anywhere to compare it with.
Is it a fake?
Do they make fake seiko watches?
I think its vintage as in around the 80’s maybe?
I know its a bit beaten up but I like it anyway.
It does’nt have a battery in it so I dont even know if it works properly yet.
How do I find out what battery to get for it?
Can I even get a battery for it these days?
Any info at all will be appreciated.
Thanks guys,
Dave.

Hi Dave
Its not a fake it is a Seiko. If you search H601 on the site you will see other seikos using the same insides (H601) You can also download the service guide and possibly the user manual to find out battery size. As you can tell its a well made watch, the black always rubs on their PVD watches.

regards

Adam
