This Seiko H601-5030 I bought new in Melilla, Spanish Maroc in the year 1981 for about Dfl. 175 (about ? 80 / $ 110). In my country (The Netherlands) this model was for sale, but with other colors, and tose were about ? 135 / $ 185.
It worked fine until 2004, then I had the battery replaced, and the jeweler said that the battery was okay. So the reason that the watch wasn’‘t working should be something else. I did put the watch in my drawer and forgot about it for some months. When I found it back, it was up and running again! In 2007 it stopped working again. In 2009 I had it serviced what cost me ? 150 / $ 200 (almost twice the price I paid new!). But now it is in very good condition, and I hope it will be running another 20 years.
Functions are: analogue time, digital time, digital day & month, digital chronograph, digital everyday alarm, hourly signal, alarm test.
There are symbols for alarm and hourly signal in the digital display, when set.
The watch is extremely thin, lightweight and has a very nice dial.
A real vintage dresswatch!
