Hi all, This is my first post and I hope that someone can help me. I have a Seiko 0533-5020, and am curious for more information about it as I cannot seem to find any anywhere. As far as i can tell tell it’s the same base unit as the 0532-5019 from 1976 but try as I might I cannot find any reference to this particular one. Same functions and look as the 0532 but the face simply states ‘Seiko’, ‘Quartz’ and beneath the ‘Quartz’ in much smaller lettering ‘Japan 0533-5020 OW’.

Any info as to date of manufacture etc would be gratefully received.

Id love to see a photo maybe one I can use on the site. The date is easy, take the first two digits of the serial number, he first one is the year and the second the month, if you have O, N, D they re October, November and December respectively.
We recently found a 0432 which seemed identical to the 0439 so maybe these were Japan only models, As we dont have a huge amount of information from Casio or Seiko a lot of it is guess work.

Sorry i must be a little dense as i still cannot work out the date nor year from the numbers present, The only other numbers I can see on the back of the case are 6N8537, would this mean November 1976? Pictures to follow.

November 1976 is correct which is about right if it is similar to the 0532.
