I just picked up this Orven. I liked the look of it, nice and simple. When it arrived it want really working so I thought id treat myself and do a full strip down of as much as I could.
I was pleasantly surprised for a Hong Kong made watch. All really well made. Not sure if its a SS case but it may be. It even has g clips to hold the buttons in, that’s real quality that is!

Like this a lot. Initially I thought it was a Mondaine then a Citizen, but its a sabre movement. Nice touch. If you have the day of the month showing the second colons pulse, if you have seconds showing the colons are static.

Proper strip down for this watch, it even has g clips, easy(ish) button removal

Any way enjoy the photos. Check out the wirebonds blowing in the wind without any protection. Its always scary working on a board when you have those.

Id date it to around 1978/79 but there wasn’t any reference on the watch so I cant be certain.
