Hi,
My late husband left a few watches that I’ve been researching, but I can’t seem to find any prices for the Citizen 8980-084241. It seems to be in fairly good condition, but is not working. I don’t want to spend money on a battery, or getting it fixed (if indeed it is broken) if it has little value. I’m hoping someone on the forum will be able to assist me.

The ana-digi temp is sought after and is worth having a battery fitted as they are quite fussy modules and go wrong on either quartz mechanism. Fully working it would fetch quite a bit more than a ‘not tested’. Its quite a complicated watch and way ahead of its time.

Thanks so much. Now I will have to find someone I can trust who can fit a battery and test it.

I’ve had a battery fitted and the digital clock works and also the seconds counter. I’ve downloaded the instructions (I have the manual somewhere, but can’t find it) but I’m still not clear about how to set the analog clock, so don’t know if that is working. I’m not terribly confident about giving it to the watch shop to check, even though it’s the recommended Citizen one.
I see there are now some watches for sale on eBay at around $99. Would $90 be a fair price to ask?
Thanks in anticipation.
