I’d like to know which side the metal battery clasp hinges on my watch (pictures below) and how to open it.

There is a small lever on the right hand side in the photo. Just lever it outwards with a small pin or screwdriver and the battery clasp will pop off.

Thanks for the reply but still not certain if the small lever you are referring to is part of the metal battery strap or somewhere else?

I’ve looked at some youtube videos and this type of battery strap seems to be latched on to a black plastic lug. They describe and down and outward movement to unlock the strap.

I remember a dutch guy who had about 500 Casio G shock watches in a collection, also had a website which explained undoing the battery straps in detail. I thought I had bookmark it for later, but can’t find it!! Anyone know who I mean and know the website?

Also I note the letters AC stamped into the metal, but can’t see a button to push to reset the watch.

Ok got it done thanks for the help!

In case anyone has the same watch the battery is CR1620. I needed to do an All Clear (AC) procedure: with metal tweezers (sharp pointing ones) touch the recessed metal labeled AC and the battery for a few seconds.

I’m looking to get a new strap for this watch, but don’t want a Casio resin one as they seem to biodegrade every 5 years. Is it possible to get a 3rd party canvas one off ebay that will fit my watch? What should I search for the narrow my options?
