Can any help me please! I have a Hamilton QTC/QED watch from 1974. The watch Telly Savalas worn on show. The problem is regarding battery replacement. Originally the watch had RW25 battery and my research found a replacement a 357 battery with spacer that I purchased from batterybob.com . Here is what happened when I tried replacing the batteries today. I put the spacers in each of the two slots and put the batteries in correctly one up and one down. The watch did show a single digit light up a zero. Since the didn’t have the magnet handy and hadn’t secured the ring, I laid watch done removed magnet from clasp and applied the magnet a second time and the digit didn’t light up. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Does Hamilton even service a digital 40 year old watch.
