Hi, well its not quite on the wrist yet but its soon to be as my recent re-kindled interest in Casio/Seiko watch collecting has paid off because as of today, I now have one Seiko’s most desirable models -  the G757!

Got it for very little money as it was advertised as ‘not going’. All it needed was a new battery and the module stripping down and cleaning.

Needless to say I breathed a sigh of relief when it fired up after putting everything back together.

The old battery had leaked a tiny bit but nothing serious and there was no corrosion inside thank goodness.

I know these modules can be pretty fickle, but so far it seems to be ok. Its definitely been worn and has some crazy cracking around the crystals paint on the inside but not I’m bothered, just stoked that I finally have one these gems! The outside does need to be cleaned up will do that later.

Its such a cool watch in the flesh and love the digital analogue display too.

And it came with the original owners manual which the purchase date of 16/2/1984.

So I’m one happy camper in the Seiko department!

Glen.

great save Glen. You actually have the hardest part to source a working module. You might be able to pick up a reasonable glass in a really dead model.

Thanks Adam, from what I’ve read about the modules they don’t like sitting with no battery so will make a point of keeping this one ‘alive’! The only thing that doesn’t work is the light.
Also need to find a better fitting strap than the odd ball generic one that was put on at some stage.
Cheers Glen.
