This now just sits on my desk. I have not seen another one and thanks to ‘Old Tom’ it breathes again. Its a gladius DSM(Dynamic Scattering module) from 1974. It has a huge base metal chrome plated case and plastic crystal made in Hong Kong.

Wow, this must be the granddaddy of those new Casio digital watches with negative display (dark background with light coloured digits).  I wonder why this type of display (DSM) didn’t take off… did they drain batteries too fast like the LED watches did?

They last a couple of months, The Gladius sits on my desk, runs fast but it is one of a kind. Well probably I havent seen another although there were obviously many others made.
