Hi all,

I have an old Casio VDB 100 that just went through a battery change. Ever since, there is no response to the touch screen, and the message OPEN appears in the upper right.

- I have removed and replaced the back, and followed rest instructions printed on the inside.
- I have compared images online of the open back to mine, everything seems to be in place, including the little springs.

Anyone have any experience with this watch? I hope the shop didn’t kill it.

Sweet. I suspect there’s a contact loose or dirty, perhaps behind the springs in the back of the watch. I tried cleaning with DeOxIt on a toothpick, no go.

I know this is an old post but since no one actually answered with a solution and I recently found the solution to this I thought I’d post it.
