Rubber zebra battery powerstrip come astray

First post to this good place.

Attached are a few pics of my 1970’s Limit dress watch which was my Uncle’s. The watch has functioned since I’ve been in ownership but recently began to lose power in part of the LCD and eventually almost no power at all even with new batteries. Having removed the insides I find that the rubberised zebra power transfer strip is detaching from where it should be. In one pic you can see one of the strips has kept itself with the LCD cell (though the two are not attached to each other The other strip remains attached to the circuit-board although only part attached.

I don’t know whether these strips should be attached to the board, the LCD or both? Either way they are not as they should be. Can they be reattached in some way ? And is there anyone I could go to to make the repair.

The watch is probably not that valuable given its type, but is certainly quite old and wears well in some situations.

thanks

I have recently acquired a seiko M354 however the display is a bit faded and I think the polarizing film on the LCD needs replacing, but I’m not sure how to remove the entire case back without scratching or damaging the watch in the process. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about this correctly? any help would be greatly appreciated thankyou

Lifted graphic on back of crystal DW-5000

I recently received a Casio DW-5000. A holy grail of mine and also a gift from a friend. I had a NOS original bezel hidden away. The retaining screws were missing but all the holes where clear. I stole some from a DW-5600C I had in my Casio box and fitted the bezel. All looked great, there were marks on the glass but I could live with that, its had a life after all.
Inside the crystal the graphics had bubbled from the edge. I had wondered about this problem before wit a Seiko 0124 I had. That time I let the Seiko go as it was. Here I wanted to see if I could at least stabilize the crystal as it was one for my personal collection. I initially tried to gently(everything must be gentle) rub the graphic onto the glass but no luck. So as far as I could see it there was the glass then a void, then the printed material.
Ok then fill the void, what with? The best I could liquid I could come up with was clear lacquer. I sprayed some from a can into the lid. Then shaped a half cocktail stick so it was flexible filled it with the lacquer and gently flooded the area I wanted filling.

It seems to have worked. I tried it on a small area first and let it dry. Once I was happy with this I took on the big area.

Im happy with the results. Not perfect but hopefully stabilized and looking better.
